OUR STORY
Clifford Design House was founded in 2021 by Maria, following eight years of experience in bar and interior design. After a career shift during COVID, she created a design service tailored to trades, focused on clear, build-ready CAD drawings and efficient project delivery.
Sam joined in 2022, bringing a master’s in product design and eight years at Dyson as a Senior Design Engineer. Together, they combine creative thinking with technical precision to support bespoke joinery, furniture, and interior design projects.
Based in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, Clifford Design House works with joiners, carpenters, builders, and interior designers across the UK.
We act as an extension of your team, streamlining the design process from concept through to manufacture.
Built on strong family values, our mission is simple: to deliver reliable, high-quality CAD design services that make your projects smoother, more efficient, and easier to execute on site.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
I was fortunate to spend 8 amazing years as a Senior Design Engineer at Dyson's head office. This experience truly sharpened my skills in innovation and engineering, and I'm thrilled to bring this expertise to all our projects at Clifford Design House.
My academic journey includes achieving a Master's degree in Product and Furniture Design, which has deepened my love for crafting designs that are both practical and visually appealing.
I'm also proud to share that I was honoured with the Future Pioneer Award by the British Design Council. This recognition constantly inspires me to keep pushing the boundaries and uplift the entire industry.

MARIA CLIFFORD
MANAGING & MARKETING DIRECTOR
My journey began with a passion for Product and Furniture Design at university, where I had the joy of meeting Sam, my my husband and partner at Clifford Design House.
Prior to that, I delved into the world of 3D design during my college years. After completing my education, I embarked on a remarkable 8-year career as a Bespoke Bar Designer & Studio Manager, collaborating on projects for well-known establishments such as; Soho House, The Ritz & Dishoom.
In 2021, I took the bold step of founding Clifford Design House. This decision was fueled by a redundancy during the pandemic, which only heightened my determination to establish my own business, providing support to others in a field that I'm truly passionate about.
MEET
Sam Moss
Joinery Designer
Since graduating with First-Class Honours in Product Design from Cardiff Metropolitan University, I’ve built a strong foundation in both creative thinking and technical design. At Innovate Design, I worked on startup product projects across various sectors, taking designs from initial concepts through to CAD development and prototyping for manufacture.
Alongside this, my career has also bridged the graphical side of design, producing thousands of creative assets for Daydream Education, and contributing to nationally recognised poster and programme work that achieved the NODA Best Programme in the UK award in 2024.
Now at Clifford Design House, it has felt like a natural and fulfilling next step, where I now hone that broad experience into crafting bespoke, functional, and meaningful pieces that bring lasting character to every home.
